In this episode of Reps & Redemption, your host shares a real and recent experience that tested her faith.
God gently reminded her of a deeper truth: we don’t need to wait for peace—we can choose faith right in the middle of fear.
This episode is a heartfelt encouragement for any mom walking through anxiety, health concerns, or simply the unknowns of life. This episode briefly shares a way to anchor yourself in truth, even when your emotions feel loud—and why discipline in your thoughts matters just as much as discipline in your body.

Many women reach their 40s feeling frustrated with fitness.
They’re walking more, eating cleaner, trying new protocols, and doing everything they’ve been told should work… yet results often stall.
In this episode, we explore a different perspective.
What if the real issue isn’t effort or discipline — but the strategy itself?
After 40, fitness shifts from simply burning energy to building capacity. Instead of relying on more restriction, more cardio, or another short-term plan, long-term strength becomes the foundation for health, metabolism, and resilience.
In this episode, we will walk through foundational principles for training wisely in this season of life, including building muscle intentionally, prioritizing protein, using cardio strategically, and choosing consistency over intensity.
This isn’t about chasing another protocol.
It’s about developing the kind of physical capacity that supports motherhood, work, training, and everyday life for decades to come.
In this episode we discuss:
Why many fitness strategies stop working after 40
The difference between energy expenditure and capacity building (light touch on this)
Why muscle becomes increasingly important with age
The role cardio should actually play in a sustainable routine
Why consistency often matters more than intensity
A simple reminder from this episode:
After 40, fitness isn’t about burning more energy — it’s about building a body that can handle life.

Monday Mar 09, 2026

Hey there! After several months away from the microphone, this episode marks a simple return.
This season of life required me to slow down, simplify, and rebuild with intention. Between pregnancy, a move to a new city, homeschooling, and continuing to train jiu-jitsu, I realized something important: good plans are not built through hustle or noise. They’re built through diligence and consistency.
In this episode, I share a short life update and talk about the principle that has been guiding this season — choosing steadiness over urgency and building rhythms that actually support faith, family, and long-term strength.
You’ll also hear about how Reps and Redemption is evolving, including how the podcast and YouTube channel will work together moving forward.
This return to content creation is a much needed reset, rooted in faith and stewardship.
In this episode we discuss:
A life update from the past several months
Why slowing down can actually produce stronger results
The difference between hustle culture and biblical diligence
How this next season of Reps and Redemption will look
Why building good plans matters for faith, family, and fitness
What’s coming next:
Future episodes will continue exploring the intersection of faith, strength training, motherhood, and disciplined living, with practical conversations to help women steward their health and homes well.

As moms, it's easy to put everything - and everyone - on a pedestal except the things God has truly called us to prioritize, (or put in the "right" place.) Especially, in busy seasons.
In this episode, we take an honest look at what we are idolizing, what's slipping through the cracks, and how to realign our focus.
Whether you are juggling homeschooling, fitness goals, or just trying to get through the day with grace, this conversation is your reminder to press on with purpose.

What if I told you that 80% of your results come from just 20% of your effort? This idea is known as the Pareto Principle. It can transform the way you approach fitness, nutrition, motherhood, and faith. In today’s episode, I’m breaking down how to use the 80/20 rule to get stronger, stay consistent, and simplify your life without burnout.
You’ll learn:
How to train smarter, not harder by focusing on the most effective workouts
Why 80% of your nutrition matters more than 100% perfection
How to simplify homemaking and motherhood by prioritizing what truly moves the needle
How to let go of the 20% that’s holding you back so you can thrive
“Give me six hours to chop down a tree, and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.” — Abraham Lincoln

“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” — Proverbs 16:3 (ESV)

Action Steps from This Episode:
1. Fitness: Identify your top 3 workouts per week that make the biggest impact.
2. Nutrition: Audit your meals—are 80% whole, nutrient-dense, and protein-rich?
3. Motherhood & Homemaking: List 3 key things that keep your home, faith, and family running well. Let go of the fluff.
4. Faith & Mindset: Each night, reflect: Did I give my best 80% today? If yes, keep going. If no, reset and refocus.

Most moms approach fitness as “just staying active,” but what if there’s a better way? In this episode of Reps and Redemption, we’re shifting the mindset from random workouts to training with intention, just like an athlete. You don’t have to be a competitor to train with purpose, build strength, and develop the discipline that benefits your body, mind, and spirit.
I’ll break down:
The difference between working out vs. training with purpose
How structured training helps you gain strength, confidence, and energy
Practical ways to apply an athlete’s mindset to your busy mom life
Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish—it’s essential. When you train with intention, you show up stronger for your family and in your faith in God.
